About
Mackenzie Boden graduated Magna Cum Laude from Auburn University with a BFA in Studio Art and concentration in painting. Her inspiration comes from the American landscape painters of the Hudson River School, French Academy painters like Edward Poynter, and old masters such as Botticelli and Caravaggio. Primarily preferring to paint realism, she also periodically dabbles in impressionism and often likes bridging the gap between the two into a whimsical, hybrid style. She is known for her deep love of traditional realism landscapes, Dutch still-lives, and everything Rococo.
Growing up, Mackenzie was lucky enough to have a working artist as a mother, so she worked in a studio for as long as she can remember. Her mother is a huge inspiration for her life path, and while they have vastly different painting styles, they both learn from each other and occasionally collaborate on projects for clients.
